My head unit is Iphone/ Ipod compatible.
Alpine Unit with front aux/usb jack and rear ipod cable. Ipod hook up is hidden in the ash tray.
Old picture but you get the idea.

I don't recall exactly what I paid for the radio - it was brand new. The only downside is that I can't get updated maps for it; the latest ones are from 2003. If I was to do it again, I would have just stuck with my CDR-220 and bought the enhanced viewing faceplate. I got the HU from www.swstereo.com. Since navigation is arrows and voice, I don't use it much for GPS.
When I rebuilt the main wiring harness, I replaced the radio plug with the Becker/Blaupunkt connector.

What I think I am looking for is iPhone/iPod compatibility, along with maybe a CD player, not required though. I was thinking of maybe putting a flip out DVD screen in it, but I didn't know how it would look, like if the shifter would get in the way or what? It may not even be worth it.
Keep it coming guys.

Personally, I don't care for the look of most new radios, especially in our cars. I wanted it to look as factory as possible.

I have a pair of 4x6" Boston Acoustic speakers in my front doors and a pair of 6x9" Pioneer Premier speakers in the rear cubbies. The BA speakers in the doors fit well and sound decent, especially for 4x6" speakers
