Default Need help in Denver installing new seats

I ordered some new sport seats for my car that will allow me to run a 5 point harness. They are suppose to arrive early next week and I was hoping to get at least the driver's side in by Friday, so that I could go to the DE in Pueblo over the weekend. I have never put new seats in before. I have ordered all of thr brackets. Would anyone be able to help me sometime next week.

Thanks!

Also I'm ordering some new brake pads and they said I would get a discount if I put the URL of the product in a post. I have used these pads for years and love them, even though the are extremely noisy if I drive them on the street. I have used this source for a long time, too, because everytime I checked they have been the cheapest. Here is the URL: http://www.lpiracing.com/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=120799

I might be able to help out on Friday. Do you have everything needed? How are you planning on mounting the sub strap?

I could probably help too if you like.

I have fabbed up seat brackets for 6 other cars over the years. Have the basic tools to cut and weld if we need to.

I'm in the far SE part of town.

Guys, I have NO idea what is involved. I have ordered the brackets and sliders that I was told would work. I don't know how to mount the sub strap. I am open to all suggestions.

Just let us know when you get them.

They might just bolt right up. (drill hole for sub belt)

i have a set of recaro height adjustable tracks and the wedge bracket for a passenger seat that can also be used on the drivers side for sale. not sure what i was asking. the sub strap can mount to the wedge bracket because it is a solid piece of metal that goes across the floor.

I'm hoping the will just bolt right up. For the sub belt do just drill a holes in the floor and mount it with fender washers?
I'm going to be out of town untill Sunday. Hopefully the seats will show up Monday and I will get a better idea of how the will go together and the be able to put in at least the driver's seat on Tues or Weds evening.
Thanks!

Well, The seats just came. The sliders bolt straight to the seat easily, and the sliders say Porsche on the tag, so I'm hoping they bolt striaght to the exisiting seat mounts. So it looks like other that the sub belt, the only other thing I'm not sure about is ow to mount the buckle for the stock belts, since I want to maintain them. So Sunday may be an option if anyone is interested. I don't have the best work area in the garage, since we have tons of stuff in our garge due to remodling, but we can make it work.

it is your life. if you want your weight under force to be held in with a fender washer then go for it. I wouldnt want to be harnessed in with that system. redlineman wrote up a lot on proper installation in the racing forum. check there.

If your gonna go through the floor you need to use big sandwich plates. Like 6x6in.

Well, I decided to not try to get it done by this weekend. Is there anyone that can weld in the belt mounting points?

Hank did the welding for my sub strap and inner belt mounts.

Cole can probably do it as well...
