I cm in today from a little spirited drive and went to close the roof. both latches went down, but the one on the drivers side went to release position and the drivers side locked the roof closed. The drivers side works fine, but the pasener sie won't move. It seems like it wants to, but won't.

Any clues?

What year is your car?

My guess is either the passenger side gear is stripped ($5-$10) or the cable got pulled out so far that it's not reaching the passenger side (cable goes from trunk to drivers side and then to passenger side). Most likely the gear's stripped.
