The antnna connector has been broken on my 89 S2 since I bought it. Now that I have the dash out I'm going to fix it. My question is the black wire that runs with it. Is that for a booster? and if it is should it have two wires?

 

If I recall correctly that is the power switch/supply for the booster. It send power from the radio and is switched by the radio.

 

So hooking it to the ant. cable from them radio will work?
