I guess I must be lucky then. Last Sunday night I hit a good sized cone sitting in the middle of the freeway at about 80mph. It pretty much just glanced off of the right side of the front spoiler, left a little rubber on the spoiler, took a tiny patch of paint (1mm Diameter), and then flew on its merry way. I guess I was lucky that I managed to avoid hitting it head on.
Spacecowboy, maybe you just need to look at it differently. You were lucky that the cone wasn't a person, the Probe wasn't a F360, and that the ditch wasn't actually a cliff.

Spacecowboy,
Murphy's Law?...It sounds like your driving is bad, not your luck...lol(you set yourself up for that dig). I do know how you feel though, it seems like every time I get something nice(car, jetski, etc.) I have something bad happen to it. My first car after college 3200$ worth of damage 4 days after purchase(my fault). 1st day I bought my Porsche, large rock kicked up on the highway chipped the paint to the sheet metal.
Gotta love Steve's optimism.
Bad things come in threes so you should be all paid up!

Now That sounds painful!!!
Oh the car... nevermind
If it makes you feel any better, when I had my T-bird I came around the bend of the freeway sandwiched between two cars and there was a cone in my lane... let's see... smash into other car or run over cone. Tore up the front spoiler rather badly, hurray for duct tape!
