We're using a spare DME Tuesday to see if that's the problem, and checking for fire is one of the first things we plan on doin

Ok.. now that things are clerified that it actually does turn over. In that case, since you had the chips in backwards, you may have fried the DME. (you figured that out since you will test with another unit).

When you first posted, you made it sound as the motor would not turn over at all.

Oops, sorry for the confusion!
Im crossing my fingers its not the DME!
