M030 on an S2?
Since Zone 8 PCA rules allow 944s to upgrade to the sport suspension, I was wondering if anyone knew the f & r anti-roll bar diameters for the S2's M030 package. I understand that it's pretty rare...is it identical to the early Turbo M030 package?
Thanks in advance, everyone!

I know the M030 rear sway bar is 3-way adjustable and 19mm (up from your stock 16mm). The front M030 is bigger too.
But: if you're referring to autox rules, may I suggest that you just upgrade the rear sway bar. The front sway is already stiff enough, and going stiffer will only result in more understeer.

Yes, you can upgrade to the M030 package... but you have to upgrade EVERYTHING, and that's a ton of stuff, some of it not even available anymore.
Most people fit the front M030 bar from the 968 since it's 30 mm and readily available.

Yeah I was gonna say the 26.8mm and 16mm are what my non-m030 S2 had..I moved to 968 m030 bars front and rear now.
Does anyone know if the m030 S2 had upgraded brakes? Like the S4 calipers in front like the 88-89 Turbo S has? I think I read somewhere that they did but I can't find it again.
Edit: Nevermind it was on Tom's site that I read it..apparently it is true

I recently installed used M030 Struts, Springs, Shocks & Torsion bars. I did not do the sway bars or the brakes.
Without a doubt, I can say that it made a HUGE difference in the handling of the car.

Thanks for the replies. Roll is pretty well controlled with my springs already (275-lb. fronts, 28-mm torsion bars) and the stock front bar is pretty beefy already..just thought that M030 package might tweak the front/rear roll stiffness slightly toward less understeer...always looking for a little extra advantage!
I'm going to a wider front tire next year (from 225s & 245s to 245s & 255s), so this should help reduce understeer too. I've driven my friend's 944 set up like mine except for 250-lb. front springs, and it was a little too tail-happy with drop throttle.
Right now, the understeer is mild, and I'm looking for a minor tweak to lessen it just slightly (but more than can be accomplished with tire pressures and/or shock adjustments). So I'm hoping the wider fronts will do the trick, plus maybe a little toe-out. The current setup is pretty livable, esp. for the three auto-x's left this year.
