Post Mille Miglia wheel help...

Ok...I finally found the wheels I'd like to have on my '83 944, but the guys at TireRack (I know, I know) tell me that they are for a '92 and up 911. But I can't find them for a 911 anywhere. I think they are giving me the run around. My Porsche guru (aka Skip) said that all Porsche bolt patterns have been the same since '65 (I think) and the only difference is the early ('86 and before) and late ('87 and after) offsets are different, which can be corrected by spacers. Does anyone know of these wheels being for a Porsche?!? They are the "Mille Miglia Cup 3S Sport". Would really like to have these, they have that color and look that would augment Guards Red very well I think. I'm sure I/we can figure something out because a friend of mine bought some wheels from them that were said to be unavailable for an '88 944 Turbo. That supports my decision about the answers I got from them. Would appreciate any help or info. Thanks.

Sorry, read the email and they haven't changed patterns since 1968.

TireRack's interactive doo-hickey on their web site shows that those MM Cup3's will fit an '83 944. I think the rep is just mistaken.

LoL, so far everyone has thought I'm talking about the regular "Cup 3" wheels. They have the "Cup 3", "Cup 3S", and "Cup 3S Sport". The only reason I'm looking at the 3S Sport version is because of the finish the wheel comes in. I really want that color but would hate to buy new wheels then walk into a shop and say, "Blast these and recoat them." I'd get some pretty funny looks I'm sure. Actually...if I could find some wheels like those I could just do that. They look a little different than the Technology though, a little more aggressive. Thanks for the help though, for some reason I can't get a 50 response thread started, but I'm trying.

These are 911-993 Mille Miglia Cup 2 Wheels off a 1993 993 that rolled. The owner sold me the set of wheels used for the cost of 1 new wheel. They are 7.5" wide front, 9" wide rear by 17's".

There are 'knock-offs' available, check the tire store chains like Discount/American, Tire Rack ( I saw them there before), etc.

Pre-'87 will probably need spacers since these are for ABS-equipped cars.
