i think that fake carbon fiber looks kinda cheesy

i like the look of the momo, what if you got the red color of that series with the burgandy?

It's your descision.Personally i don't like the shape of this momo shifter.
I am into process to make a real carbon fibre one (original shape) for a friend.I still prefer my original with good leather i sewn with my grand mom's '38 Singer.
I am making some molds of various 944 interior parts to produce Carbon Fibre ones.I got Carbon fibre material quite a lot recently and now i know the technics.So, let's see how it turns out

The metal on the **** will get VERY hot on warm days... Try to get a **** with as much leather as possible.

I have that same **** on my S2 and the metal isn't what gets hot. Actually I've never actually had the shifter get all that hot at all, it's more the rest of the interior. And in Florida it gets HOT in the middle of the day..the black leather heats up more than that aluminum insert in the **** for sure.

If your car doesn't have an airbag, you may get a Mono wheel with some metal matching the knod and your interior will look great.
In mine I got carbon fiber look Momo wheel and ****.

Strange, I´ve got a Momo **** as well and the aluminium gets really hot after a couple of hours in the sun. Maybe it has got something to do with the materials thickness as well...

The spherical ones IMHO look best in this very subjective area. Maybe aluminum with an anodized, or possibly powder coat.

BTW I often come across "CNC" billet aluminum pieces for sale. I've heard what CNC stands for but I cant quite remeber, and it's just really bugging me. Computer something-or-other...

The reason I ask is that I'm under the impresion that one can use a CAD program and the services of an appropriately equiped machine shop (CNC...) to be able to produce the design in question.

1.) Does anyone know if there are public domain CAD programs avaiable?

2.) Or of any machine shops who provide this service?

I'd really like a set of pedels, and while the ones on the market are fine... well you know...
