Just for comparison, remove the LSD and electric sunroof and I just bought a very similar car for $3800.

That said, it's still way cooler than any other $10k car on a used car lot...

Probably the first "low mile original 944" that seems to be actually worth the asking price. Nice car... but $9000 would be much more palatable. If its legit and the AC works I think its worth the price.

It is definitely a nice car, very nice. I think you might have some negociating room though. The LSD is a nice touch. You have nothing to lose by making an offer.

If this is what you are looking for specifically then I think it's a great car. As long as it's in as good mechanically as it is aesthetically then it's worth giving him and offer and see where it goes. However if your not interested in an "original" well kept 944, then I would take my 10k and find a good 951, or an S2 (that's what I did), or you could probably get lucky and find a decent 968 (wish I did that... my S2 needed a lot of TLC). This car is worth it to some one who knows what it is, and is looking for this type of 944. Had I not just got my S2 I would be bidding on this car right now, my S2 was not in as good shape as I was hoping and it's been at my mechanics shop more then it's been at home, and I am almost up to the purchase price of the car... you know the saying "there's no such thing as a cheap Porsche...)

biggest problem with that car is the rubber clutch disk. we paid 1/3 less for one with 32k on it 9 years ago. The collectiblilty of the 944 has not increased the value 50% in the last 9 years.

That is a nice 7-7.5k car.
