ABS warning light after brake pad replacement
I had my front brake pads replaced, brake calipers serviced and brake rotors skimmed today. The brake fluid was topped up adequately. On driving off, the ABS warning light came on whereas it never did before the work on the brakes today. Could any of the work done today affect the ABS system?

Most definitely. I would guess that the technicians (using that term loosely)damaged one or more of your ABS sensor. The sensors read the teeth on the hub on the hub rotates and the ABS computer measures and compares this to other data to determine if the wheel or wheels are locking up. It would be very easy to damage one of the sensors when removing/replacing your rotors.
Another possibility is that they inadvertantly disconnected the one of the sensors. I hope this has helped some.
