Post Shopping at Huntley

I have a couple questions regarding Huntley's products. One, this muffler:
<a href="http://www.archcartpro.com/users/dkhajavi/index.htm?sess=7198e8214306018af1b942ed4687ee7a&time=1033039467" target="_blank">http://www.archcartpro.com/users/dkhajavi/index.htm?sess=7198e8214306018af1b942ed4687ee7a&time=1033039467</a>

Should I get that for my S2? I've heard something about backpressure, so maybe zero restriction is bad? Also, it reduces noise by 7dB? So...without any other exhaust modifications, the car would be quieter, but have more top end, I gather?

Second, this one, the MAF:
<a href="http://www.archcartpro.com/users/dkhajavi/index.htm?sess=7198e8214306018af1b942ed4687ee7a&time=1033003711" target="_blank">http://www.archcartpro.com/users/dkhajavi/index.htm?sess=7198e8214306 018af1b942ed4687ee7a&time=1033003711</a>

Anyone know if that's worth all the money?

the link for the muffler didnt point me to a muffler....only exhaust on that page was a cat bypass for 300 some. i dont think their would be large performance gain w/ a maf on a n/a car, well not worth 1775.00. so all in all your looking at a lil' over 2 grand...i'd be looking into supercharger packages for your s2. i know sfr has a couple of setups and im pretty sure huntley does also. look in archives for total cost of upgrading your car to a supercharged rocket!! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

Can't figure out why it takes you (and me, too) to that page. Oh well, to find it go to exhaust upgrades and on the third page is a zero restriction muffler. I'll try it one more time:

I think it means 7db off what the car would be without anyhing in its place. In other words, only 7db down from no muffler at all. I think your car would be much louder, not quieter.

Teh MAF is the best performance for $$ enhancement I have made to my NA.
It's a simple install as well. About 4 hrs.

Ram_one, what do you think of your Mildredge cam and which one did you get? I have a custom ground cam from Elgin and I am VERY dissapointed with it.

David,
I got the Performance grind. He explained that it is a newer/better cut than what is listed on the web. Cost $675.

I like it. At idle it puts out a nice steady grumble. It is a bit of a dog from a dead stop or low rpm, but once she gets to about 3200rpm it screams all the way to redline. I have actually changed my driving style to keep the engine in this power band as much as possible.

All in all it was a good trade-off of low end loss for high end bliss.
