Post Block resurfacing question....

Hello,
Does anyone know what grit sanding disc/wheel I should put on the end of a air powered die grinder to smooth out the mating surface of a block in preparation for a new head gasket? I just need to remove some of the old head gasket and prep the surface. Thanks so much!

Dont do that!!!!! It is best to use the edge of a razor/sharp scraper and be very careful not to gouge the surface.I usually keep the blade almost flat with the block. Work slowly and precisely and you will get all the material off without damaging the block. The air powered die grinders spin to fast and can remove alot of material in a short amount of time(even with a blue scotchbrite).
