I know that Porsches are meant to be driven, but would you actually drive this one:

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1863627748" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1863627748</a>

I think I would be almost scared to own such a low-mileage car.

Cool

It would proably feel kind of strange at first, but I´d buy it and drive on weekends and _never_ sell it.

I´d keep my S2 as a daily driver, I drive five times the total distance of that 951 a year... :-)

If it wasn´t for the difficulty of import it to Sweden I´d actually be interested in buying it...

I agree. I don't know if I could drive it. I'd hate to be the one that passes 10,000 on the odo.

That's what I am afraid of. If I had the money, I would definitely buy it and drive it once every two weeks. Ebay attracts a lot of weirdos, and that beautiful piece of machinery is probably going to get bought by someone who has no idea what they are getting. Sorry, it just really upsets me.

I don't see why anyone would be weary about driving this car daily. The enjoyment one would recieve from driving it and putting 15,000 miles on it a year would exceed any value a car like this would have even with the same milage after 10 years. Turbo S's in and of themselves have a solid market value even with their high miles. Drive it and enjoy.

"Never seen rain, stored winters in storage garage with car capsule"

What is a car capsule? Vehicular Prozac from being locked up in the garage all it's life? It's a sin.

I have always wanted to own a car that i could say "its never seen rain" My mechanic has an 86 just like my 951 with 14,000 miles on it. 1 owner car. Ive known him for prob 6 years. It has had 14,000 miles the whole time ive known him

thats pretty damn cool.

Owner claimed it needs nothing. One thing it surely needs is new belts.I wouldn't even start it with original belts! I assume there's still original ones there?
Time do funny things to rubber. This car has allready new tires.I suppose most tires can last little bit over 6kmiles!?

I think it's very nice that the current owner saved the car soo well for the next owner.

Now, gimme them keys and let me flog that 951S on the track, like it's mean to be driven! (After changing the belts, seals, gaskets, fluids...etc, of course!)

Just think, that car has 12 years of track-time to catch up on!

Yes, I'm serious: these cars are meant to be driven hard and fast.

Can ya tell I'm not a concours guy?

That's actually the "capsule" mentioned in the auction ad. These are used by classic auto concours enthusiasts to preserve cars during storage in places with changing climates. It basically keeps moisture out. They're popular in the U.K.

Regarding the belts/maintenance, if you read the conditions of sale, the seller offers to provide the car's "maintenance history" at the time of sale. Just because it was only driven 6K its whole life, it doesn't mean its owners neglected its maintenance. I drive my 951 cabrio about 3K a year and still do regular maintenance on it.
