Question O2 sensor compatibility?

ok this is wierd.

I dont know the voltage, ohm's of the 86 951's O2 sensor. Well my friend that has an identical car put a ford )2 that he recieved from his friend an OEM porsche / Audi store. he is quiting that it works fine..

now here is my question. what is the voltage pattern for stoich on the 86T O2. also. are all the Os'a the same. or is the voltage different?

Im in need of a new sensor and well $260. vs $40 is a big enough difference to ask this question...

thanks.. mike.

Try to do a search in the archives on this. There were some older posts that went into a lot of detail.

I recently had to replace the O2 sensor on a 968. I opted for a universal sensor which was about $57 from Napa (verus the $260 OEM.) The only thing that made it slightly more complicated was the need to spice three wires into the universal wire set. Pretty simple stuff for the $$ savings.
