Woah...looks like I opened up a can of worms here. First off...I will never get drunk and drive. I already had a little "trouble" with that when I was 18 and will never repeat that mistake again. If I go out to dinner or am the DD for a night out at the bars, I may indulge in 2 or 3 beers spread out over several hours if I am driving, but no more. That is my personal policy and I have no trouble sticking to it. If for some reason I end up going somewhere and getting unexpectedly drunk, I will either walk or call somebody for a ride. On thursday night, the only crime I may have been guilty of is walking back to my house with a hangover (its 1/3 of a mile from my friend's house, and I got a ride over there).

Now that that is out of the way...Mister Binglederry, why would you think that just because I like to down a few I would jump behind the wheel of a car? Do my words and phrases written on this board make me out at the type of moron who would do such a thing? Sorry about your friends...I have some who went that way too...but when you start off by saying that I am one of those morons who would do something like that, I really get offended. So...I would like you to do me a favor. I want you print this thread out, roll it up really really tight, and stick it up your ***. Do me and all of us a favor, and **** OFF!!!. Thanks.

Tom R, I understand what you are saying, but if I am indulging for a night (which seems to be less and less these days) I usually try to plan ahead and make sure I don't get stuck driving if I have been drinking. If I do get stuck somewhere drunk with my car, I will call for a ride (we have a free taxi sponsored by the college for drunk kids here in salisbury) or walk. I understand how my statements may make me come out sounding like an alcoholic, but I assure you I don't drink to the point of getting completely housed often, and when I do, I am safe. I often go weeks at a time without drinking, but when you are away at college it seems to be a little harder to get away from drinking often as that is what everybody is doing wherever I go. My motto is "have fun, be safe, and when you start turning yellow from liver failure, its time to see the doctor". Anyways, thanks to the guys who backed me up as some of them know me better than Mister Butt****.

Turbopop...I'll call them and see if they need anything...how are the seats in that car? They are probably better than the ones in this 931. They have all the mechanical stuff they need (I believe). Check your e-mail shortly.

Ribs,

I don't chime in much here but I think you need to be the bigger man here and not let comments that really don't apply to you get to you. Telling someone to F-Off in private e-mail is probably a better idea if you gotta do it.

Thanks Franco but telling me to shove it up my *** and **** off just reinforces my initial point.

Often posters ask to be treated like children. Bragging (i know he says he just downed a few) about high school antics then responding with a **** off further proves my point.

he almost had me going with his personal policy schtick but i heard that before too many times.

How bout this ribs next time I wipe my *** i'll e mail you the details. of course it will be with the paper you told me to print out.

And if you "really needed it after working non-stop on my car..." then maybe you should choose a less stressful hobby!

Hey Ribs
I just took a leak, no luck with the dump yet. I got a foxy babe over so I may have to wait with the details of the dump.

I promise to post what happens with the babe for ya.

Oh you dont care about the babe or the dump.

Exactly the point of my first post. I dont care about the stooopid things you do so please dont post them.

PS the babe has a crackhead sister, should I send her your way?

Also, on a grammatical note,is it "stick it up your ***" or "shove it up your ***"? which one sounds meaner? I think the latter has a stronger tone and would make a bolder impact, what do you think?

MR BAtes,

I respect you, Some what, You have said some things that have offended me in the past. But you always stand by your opinion. I am 18 years old and do NOT drink. BUT, I understand why Ribs wrote about it in his posts. He is relating to the "masses" (no masses are asses puns either. ) There is nothing wrong with relating? is there? He isn't forcing anything on you.

could any one imagine Ribs post starting out by telling us how he was reading the bible after a non stop "working on the 951" day? (I think I would have to slamm him if he did that!)

As I understand your point of view, i wonder why you take time to reply if you didnt like the content of the original post. and not only to reply, but to reply several times and make yourself look like a moron in your last post? you are the one who sounds like u had a bit too much to drink..

just a wishful observation.. dont get butt hurt about it.

Ok, this whole thing could have been avoided if mr bater over there just never posted his post in the first place. Is alchohol in itself evil incarnate? hell no... the problem is people who drive after drinking.. which while I have/do drink on occasion (18 here too) I still have the sense NOT to drive. I have zero respect for you now, probably like the rest of the board.. and as for talk of being childish.. who exactly is being childish here? referring to taking "dumps," your imaginary girlfriend with a crackhead sister Way to go dude, your cool! <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Mr. Bates,

mideastmafia has a great point here. There are a lot of thing that I disagree with on this board. Do I post replies about how I disagree with non-car related items? No. Why? Because I am mature enough to maintain relations with people, so that I may discuss cars.

If we went about our days only talking to people who agreed with our every opinion, we would never talk to anybody.

You guys are the best!!!

I say I dont want to hear about your drinking and I get slammed for butting in to someone elses business.

I get told to **** off and shove it up my *** and I get slammed for responding.

I talk about an "imaginary girlfriend" and a dump - things you dont want to hear about and I get slammed

slammed for posting something you dont want to read about.

I love the consistency on the board.

My post wasnt a post about drinking and driving. my post wasnt so much about drinking as it was about posting stuff that most of us probably dont want to read about and can come back to haunt you later.

i wonder if anyone sent the insurance animal avoidance post to the maryland DMV? No "TR" i didnt. Not that i would but if i did to prevent my rates from rising i would get slammed for that too.

Try to be a freind and this is what i get! <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" /> <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" /> <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

Its ok though i still respect all you guys that had a positive input in this thread.

Should we have John remove the two "drinking" graemlins so we don't have to subject you to a beer reference?

And thanks for speaking for "most of us" I appreciate that.

To everyone else: I would love to hear about your crazy drinking stories, they amuse me, please post them.

So let me get this straight.. if you are Mr. Bates, and we are to call you "MASTER"

would that make you Masterbates? hmm, something seems fishy about this drinking and masterbating thing..

ALLRIGHT KIDS.. NO MORE DRINKING! WE ARE PROMOTING ************ FROM NOW ON.

learn from other peoples mistakes! i got an owi in my 951 and am now paying the consequences. my license got suspended for 180 days (got it changed down to 90 days and am now eligible again, its on my record (i didnt have a stellar driving record to begin with either...) and my insurance on my pathfinder is through the roof 2000 a year on a 92 pathfinder.
-full coverage, 1000 deductible
(im checking on the $$ to insure the porsche tommorow)
Its good though..keeping the 951 stored in a garage not at college/keeping the miles off and saving money for repairs/upgrades. should have her in a few months or at the latest 6months.
(ps- ive got pics to post of the damage and many other random pics)
However all of this did teach me a lesson that i will NEVER forget. I still drink, but more safely and far away from automobiles!!! (22 and close to graduating here), but thank god i didnt hurt myself or mainly anyone else. I couldnt have lived w/ myself had I hurt anyone through my retarted actions.
&gt;make a mistake..learn from it..dont repeat!&lt;

btw- the damage is in no way related to the owi, i just remember a few people wanted to see some better interior pics and while i was at home this weekend i took about 60 pics of her
damage incurred from backing out of a garage that i swear moved into me and from my bright roomate not looking behind before running her jeep right into my rear fender. gotta love her!
take care...
