Default Beck Arnley Fan Thermo Switch (anyone used one?)

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web..._1247916428___

I'm using this fan switch, bought it last week. I ordered it there because I was getting a few other things, and figured fan switch how hard can it be to get that right.

I can't find anywhere the temp range for the switch.

My issue:
Low speed fans turn on with temp at top white line (100degrees C if my sources are correct).

My theory:
Fan switch OK. Bad grounds? I think the gauge is just misleading me. My voltage gauge reads 1 volt below what a volt meter reads across the battery as well (12v is what shows, vs 13.4ish across terminals). This sounds like bad grounds to me, I just can't work on those until the weekend.

Also, I tried running with the high speed fans jumpered on permanently. Car still ran right around top white line consistently.

I bought one of those from advance as well. It never turned the fan on, I didn't let the car get in the red, but it would never actually turn the fan on. I ended up unpluging the a/c pressure switch so I could use the a/c button as an on/off switch for the fans. That got me through the week until the one I ordered from pelican showed up. No problems since switching.

That is certainly interesting... Although I do wonder if you just didn't let it get to the top white mark to see the low speed fans come on. I'd love to hear another account of someone using this fan switch..
