Default Shop recommendations for alignment? Montgomery County, MD

I went to my usual shop Tires Plus in Rockville MD since they've done alignments and tire mounting on all my cars in the past and the manager Danny is very good. However, they say they don't have the software to align my 85 944. So I went to two other shops, who both say they won't do it because it's an older vehicle and it needs special tools. It's a 944, not a space shuttle! There's no way I'm donating $300 to the dealer for what should be done at half the price.

a proper alignment can take 3-4 hours, $300 would actually be a pretty normal price. If you want to pay only half of that, you won't get a full alignment.

HBL/ Tysons Porsche often has discounts for 4 wheel alignments.. But that means going to Tysons Corner Also near tysons is Intersport. Not sure if Matt DeMaria up in Gaithersburg does alignments or not.

Check out a local dc porsche group at" www. dorkiphus.net "

I once got Intersport to match the price being offered by HBL/Tysons Porsche. Maybe you could get Rockville Porsche to match the HBL price (if it's good).

I live in Rockville but take my car to Intersport when necessary.

Just as an FYI I had Auto Italia in Rockville, MD do my alignment. I got a deal since I've dealt with them before, but they normally charge about $90 for a four-wheel alignment. For Porsches they charge "two hours", or $180. According to the alignment sheet, all my specs are now within range
