Post Pics of my completed, soon to be torn back down engine bay!

Well...I snapped off a couple of pictures of my engine bay right before I filled the oil and realized I needed a new oilpan yesterday morning. I even have a picture of the badly stripped out oilpan hole, as well as a picture of the easy way to get your sway bars in.

Here are a few pictures of my completed motor bay, with my powdercoated i/c tubes and intake manifold, most everything cleaned up real good, my ricey orange ghetto rigged vacuum lines, and some new hardware on a lot of stuff to boot:

Here is a picture showing the easiest way to get the swaybar's droplinks to fit into the a-arms:

Here is a picture of a mod I did to my plastic belly pan so as I can easily jack the front of the car up from the crossmember:

And here is the picture you all have been waiting for...my big f-up. This is the threaded hole that the turbo oil return pressure line banjo bolt goes into:

Thats about it. I hope you enjoyed.

Ribs,
man, real nice job, looks great, sorry to hear you gotta tear back into it though. I know how you feel, I can't tell you how many times I've had similar experiences when I first started wrenchin', you just gotta try not to let it discourage you and in the end it will all come together.
Peace

What a f****** drag, man. Good luck. It's gonna be something extra when it's done though.

Great job Ribs, I once after about 2 months of slaving fired up a never before (by me) 951 engine only to find the turbo was shot..

BTW, how are you planning on sliding your floor jack that far back to reach the X-member...?
Must be a low profile model..

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like. Re-dis-assembly starts on sunday. 951and944s...my small floorjack barely fits (I mean...I have to push up on the body to get it under the rockerpanel) under the side of the car...I use this to boost one side up several inches...enough clearance to put my big floorjack under the subframe. I jack the big floorjack up to the subframe but don't raise it, lower the small floorjack so the car is even, then jack it to the desired height in the middle. It sounds complicated, but is much less complicated than jacking it up a bit at a time on each side and raising the jack stands, going to the other side, and repeating 5 or 7 times, like I was doing before.

Looks so beautiful to bad you have to tear into it again. You think you'll ever get a MAF in there instead of the factory filter? I think it would complete the whole color scheme thing you got goin on. add a little blue plus add a little more horses under there Looks GREAT

Before you slam that hood down, lower the power steering reservoir so that it doesn't make a nasty outward dent.
