Post Very cool...Porsche 996 TT computer!!!

Hi Guys,
Sorry...slightly OT, but this is too cool!!!

A computer guru ex-colleague of mine has formed a new company, and is in production of a very cool new product...a fully-functional Mini-ITX computer, in the form of a 996 Twin Turbo!!!

The basic specs for their "car-computer" are as follows:

- VIA C3/EDEN EBGA Processor (933 Mhz)
- either 256 or 512MB memory
- up to 80GB hard-drive (base is 20GB)
- optional cd-rom/dvd drive

Their website (with photos) can be found at MGB Systems. The base-model price is $996CDN...about $700US. They've provided an email address on the website, if you need more info. Check it out!!!

Is the CPU in the back in true 911 form?
I have an eden 533 box that I'm putting in my 944 to play oggs and mp3s, once I have a functional stereo.

Its really awesome though, yet I'd rather build my own instead of paying that much for one.

Hey there,
I have no idea if other people have been doing it...it's the first time I've seen one though. He actually showed one to me, and let me say...it would be quite a project to build one yourself. Obviously it can be done though, as they've done it themselves. Anyways, I just thought it was pretty neat.

I think that the yellow one on eBay that the guy built for his daughter looks better...
