Default LSD Differences NA/Turbo/S2

Is there a difference to the actual LSD unit between different 944 models and are they interchangeable between different transmissions (na/turbo/s2)?

If you do look it up in PET - you will find:

944 332 053 00
951 332 053 00
951 332 053 03
951 332 053 05

The LSD housings are the same dimensionally, so yes they are all interchangeable between 944 series transmissions.

But along with the different assemblies, the internals have different part numbers between the early 944 LSDs, and the later 951 part numbered units. For certain the internals dimensionally changed between the -03 (turbo) and -05 (turbo S) LSDs.

For various reasons, I would hesitate to install an early 944 unit in a Turbo or S2.
