"So the fronts of the rivas in 8" will be too wide with not enough off set and need to be machined to 53mm?"

Well.... when going to wider wheels, you want to follow Porsche's example and increase the offset to place most of the extra width on the inside.

Just my humble opinion, but aren't nice phone dials much more in-line with the 944's body lines than the design 90s?

I wish the S2's came with PD's!

Damian--Count this as #1?

In-line or not, phone dials are just plain ugly!

Not advocating, just asking...has anyone ever made 17" phonedials?

I know Lindsey is making 17" Fuchs, but (correct me if I'm wrong) they are three piece and do not look like factory 14-16" Fuchs.

17" PD's done right, with deep dish and possibly 3 piece with polished lip MIGHT look, well...interesting/good? Is it even possible?

I'm not a big fan of PD's but somebody on the list has posted pic's of refinished PD's that look extremely nice. IIRC... they were finished in a dark/slate gray center section with polished lip.

Anyone recall these wheels?

Like jason952, my preference is the C2T style.

You must be talking about these suckers, and they are mean:
<img src="http://www2.bc.edu/~benedicw/forum/blackpds.jpg" alt=" - " />

I'm actually looking around for a set of straight and true PDs that are real dirty and cheap to do this very thing as my next project...

Did they make early offset 16" PDs? I don't know much about spacers anyway...Anyone in Boston have a set of grungy phone dials oxidating in their garage??

That's them! Never seen a nicer finish on PD's! I'd need a set of those. Tremulune, if you locate any extra sets of grungy PD's, let me know.

Tremelune, that's the wheel! Shame, shame for saying those are just plain ugly!

You're forgiven if you scare up some extra sets of grungy PD's and send 'em my way. That looks like a fun project.
