I have fuchs, and the black is fading, how do i get them that polished. I am looking at geting 17" because I want big reds some day. Does anybody have any clearance issues witht the 18s. I would asume that you could get the rims and tires to equal the same hieght as factory because of smaller sidewalls, but how about the width. I have read dannos racerx page, and thos rims seem damn wide. I may be able to get a set of 3 piece cup rims, with a polished lip, but the lip is not nearly as polished as the fuchs above.

On the Fuchs, you can send 'em out or just do them yourself. There are a number of threads on this forum for polishing Fuchs. Hard work but rewarding, IMO, because the forged light alloy polishes out so nicely. You can use bigger calipers, e.g., 928S4's, but I don't think big reds will work with 16" Fuchs.

The hard to find and widely coveted 16" Phone Dialers, complete with 17 years of curb rash.

(Yes, I'm looking for new rims, too.)

You gotta be patient and keep an eye on the rennlist classifieds. In my case, my friend was looking to upgrade his 968 to 17" wheels, so I got a great deal! (Thanks Clem!)
