Post Castrol GTX "High Mileage"

I've been seeing commercials for this stuff recently, and I was wondering if it would make a difference in our cars. I have gtx 10w40 in the car now, and I'm gonna switch to 20w50 for the summer. The car is seeping a little oil. Is it a good idea to try the higher mileage stuff, or will it not make a difference?

Pennzoil and Quaker State are (or at least used to be) paraffin based (as in wax!) and leave nasty sh@* all over the inside of your engine. Blech!

Two years ago I bought my daughter a daily driver with 107k on it. I knew it needed front and rear seals when I bought it. My brother, an engineer with TRW, suggested I try Valvoline Max. They put an additive in it to swell the seals, and some other such stuff. They earned some kinda of an award for engineering excellence with this product. Anyway, within 1 hour of the oil change, all oil leakage stopped! I've used it ever since and still no oil leakage with now over 140K on it. If you've noticed, many of the oil companies are now starting to advertise high mileage oils. Guess Valvoline's patent expired.
