I stopped out Fri around lunchtime, dodging raindrops. I didn't see anyone around your 924 except a wild old stingray. It looked like you may not get to see dry track till Sunday, but maybe it dried off Fri afternoon. (the times posted sure look like dry times) I noticed they weren't using the 2/3 kink before the keyhole, (is this the "pro" course?) what do you think the difference is in lap times with or without those 2 turns? Have you run it both ways to compare?

TIA, sorry I missed ya!

Then you didn't see my 924! You were looking at maybe the black #127 924S, correct? My 924 is 77 blue/white, as shown in the avatar. Unfortunately, I didn't make it there until the afternoon of Friday, and was hidden behind the huge red transporter down by the garages 21-28. It was on and off the rest of Friday, including heavy rain during the comp license school's practice race! Sat and Sunday were fine, if cold, though...

Yes, we were running without the chicane, which is referred to as the "pro" course. I have been told that it's about a 2 sec difference in lap times around ours. I do have my own lap times, but I gained a considerable bit of time this weekend (as I'm still developing the car and learning the course), so I can't use my times for comparison. As in, I gained 3 seconds even allowing for the 2 sec difference.

There really wasn't much in the way of bench-racing going on all weekend, everyone was hiding in trailers and tow vehicles trying to stay warm!

That explains the difference in the stripes!! DOH! I figured your avatar was just out of date..
When is your next Mid-Ohio date? How about the May Club Race?

That was our only Mid-O date, and no, I won't be at the PCA M-O weekend in May - we'll be across the border at Beaverun in PA, GTS Challenge again!
