Post coolant temp sensor in Radiator

I had some pics but i was having trouble putting them on my pcaronline page. My coolant was shooting out from around this sensor when under pressure. the sensor is right below the upper radiator hose. there seems to be a small seal around it. do i need to buy a new seal? when I cranked it back down and pressurized the system it still leaked (I could hear air hissing)I need this fixed by Hershey!

If you're talking about the temp switch, I think it uses the same washer as the oil drain plug. At least I used one that looked alike on mine when I replaced it a couple of weeks ago.

The sensor has metal threads and it screws into the plastic part of the radiator. There is a seal for the sensor that may be bad so that would be a good place to start (P/N 900 123 012 70). I also would apply some sealer or teflon tape to the threads before installing the sensor. I hope you haven't stripped or cracked the plastic.

Those plastic end tanks are at the end of their usefull life so be real carefull. I'd use some pipe dope that never hardens completely to seal if you are having problems. Even so, you will probably never be able to take the switch out in 5 years without breaking the plastic, so make sure you put in a new one.
