Default Exhaust Header Gasket?

I just got my Bursch header today. Looks nice! Want to install them soon. Was wondering which way the gasket that goes between the header and head goes? Does the silver side go to the header or head? Also, are there any torque specs for the nut that holds the headers on the studs?

Since there is an aluminum head and a cast iron exhaust manifold the gasket goes to the head side and SS to the manifold. Reason being steel next to aluminum sets up dissimilar metal corrosion and we don't want that to happen. We all know how hard it is to remove steel bolts and use PB Blaster or Kroil to help loosen the bolts. Steel expands with heat keeping the two parts together thus sealed.

Larry

Thank you, John_AZ. I take that as a Great complement coming from such a knowledgeable person as yourself. I think the nut torque is 15 ft. lbs. not much.
