Dyno Time in Charlotte NC, anyone intersted?
Ok, I found a shop here in Charlotte that is very new and has a nice Mustang Dyno avaible. The are willing to do dyno runs on weekends and the guy who runs it knows his stuff.
Anyway, they have a lot of free time being so new, and if anyone wants to get some dyno time in let me know, or I could try and set up South East 951 dyno day, i'm sure they would want to do it.
If you guys are just looking for bragging numbers this is not the dyno to do it on, they produce much lower number than a dyno jet around 15%. But the A/F ratios are more important that hp and torque numbers.

I might be interested depending on when and what the costs are. I'm a few hours away at the tip end of Tennessee and about to get me a MAP Stage 2 kit sometime in the next few weeks and would love to get it tuned in a bit better than I could with just a basic A/F meter that I have and see exactly what I'm doing.
Cheers!

Costs are not bad at all and I would see if I could work out a deal, currently they are 90 dollars for a hour with wideband tuning.
But I would see if we could wiggle that down a bit.

That sounds great. I do want to get my MAP kit and get it installed first so I can be testing something that's going to be on the car And May is fairly booked for me right now, might have to be Memorial Day weekend before I'd have a free weekend (and get the kit ordered and installed). Hopefully I can get it ordered next week...
Keep me updated on perhaps when and we'll see what we can do!
Cheers!

Ian, is there any reason to Dyno a weekend touring toy,(85/1 NA)? I have no history past my purchase in 2-02. But since then it has been checked out, repaired, and obsessively maintained.
Not being familiar with all a Dyno test covers, how would I benefit?

Well the dyno would let you know how your air / fuel ratios look and how much power your motor is putting down both of which are good indications as to how it is running.
But really the best part about a dyno is tuning, so maybe if you were thinking about having some chips made or something of the sort it might help you out more.

Yep.....I won't even order the MAP kit probably until Monday. Getting some $$ in from selling my suspension parts on Ebay and supposed to get the rest of my bonus today. Even if I got it by next Friday, I probably wouldn't have time to get it installed and get there for the runs.
If we are doing it on a Saturday, I also have to find someone to work for me....
I'll try to holler at Danno and see if they are shipping those MAP kits with the boost controllers now and how long it takes to get one and post back here and let you know.
Let's all post here on what weekends work for us over the next month or so and see what we can work out!

Andrew, if he sends you the kit I could help you install it, its really not that hard and we could have you run on the dyno last so we had time to get it all hooked in....
Just an option...

Okay....once I find out what kind of timeframe on shipping, I'll post back and let you know.... I've heard it takes about 4 hours. I've disassembled the intake a good ways (removed all the hoses and intercooler pipes) before, so I'm fairly familiar with all of that, but I've not removed the actual intake pipe connecting to the turbo or messed with the DME/KLR boxes yet. So yeah, if I get it in and haven't had a chance to install it, I'd appreciate the help so I could get it on the dyno and run it!
Dropped an email off to Danno a few minutes ago about the kit.
Cheers!
