Default turn signals not working

I was wondering if any of you had a similiar problem with your 84 944. I have been trying to figure out why the turn signals light up solid rather than flash. I have replaced the signal fuse (although didn't seem to be a bad one) and also the relay. The new relay however resulted in the signal bulbs to not light up at all. I also replaced all four flasher bulbs for good measure. Could this be due to a faulty switch in the steering column? Where would I find one without going to a dealer and paying dealer price or to diagnose the problem?

Hello, Check/replace fuse #6 Stop Light / Emergency Flasher, Fuse #8, Turn Signals, and a known good Relay X1. The old style fuses may look good and they will still be bad. The fuse prongs surface need to be cleaned. I use 400 grit emery cloth. Any time you work around the fuse block disconnect the battery Positive Lead. Do all this before tearing into the steering wheel lever controls. Check out Clark's garage.com for help.

I am having this issue. It started after I put a 930 steering wheel on it. I either did something to the switch or the adapter isn't hitting everything just right. I don't know if you have a non-stock wheel. If you do need a new switch assembly, Pelican and Paragon both carry them.
