In the September issue of "Sports Car International" there's a great article "Gumball 3000: High-Speed Hijinks In Z06". If you'd like, I could scan it for you tomorrow. This issue is one of my favorites though; Gumball3k, Twin-Engined TT, '70s Speed Wars Finale: Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera'

I thought that article was hilarious. Hearing about how many speeding tickets these people got... how the guy in the lambo was throwin $10 bills out of his top to cause traffic on the interstate so cops couldnt chase him, etc. Definately good for a laugh.

Anyone ever see the Jackass episode in which they enter the Gumball Rally? If not, it is available for download from Kazaa.com. It is a long download, but definitely worth it because it is both informative and hilarious. I also just noticed that it is on the Gumball web page also.

YES!! That is a very funny and very good episode. They drove about 3000 miles in a few days. Good footage too.

Maybe we could set up our own trip across America, without the outrageous entry fee.

all who attends to Gumball's or similar "races" are ******** !

Got similar her in europe (from London to Moscow)
They drove across the southern part of Finland.
After that it was a good reason for police to stop me just because i drove a Porsche ! That happend often !

Not ment to offend anybody.
I just think that kind of racing does not belong to public roads.

I have fast enough car to hang with those a**holes, if necessary

I downloaded the whole video a few weeks ago and thought it was the worst produced, most boring footage of something that looked pretty exciting before that. About the only highlight is someone, which they never show who or which car, hitting about 206-207mph.
