late offset wheels on early offset car

1) The 16x8s that are aftermaket, approximate the 911 part numbered 8" fuch. 8x16 with a 10.5mm offset. These wheels (the 8x15 or 16) will fit without the spacer.. they just won't fill up the fender as well.

The beauty is, that, with your 21mm spacer (which is approx 3/4") it gives the appearance of a larger wheel.. one that would mimic the position of the 9x16 Fuch wheel (with its 15mm offset). The 9x16 also fits, without a spacer.

You have an early car. All early cars came with 7x15" base wheels, with a 23mm offset.

It would seem that you would fit the wheel (the 7x15), without the spacer no problem and quite liklely also with the spacer.
