Post is this valve alignment...?

Yo...

944 na 1988, Im on my 2nd new oil pressure relief valve the 1st one I bought new from Porsche dealer and it was totally scrap.... hard to believe I know, especially at 6pm on a saturday evening when they have just closed for the week end....

Anyhow, I had serious lifter tapping noise so the new valve went in as per all instructions, went to Spa-francochamps for the weekend porsche supercup racing.. (another story wow) and on my return I started to get the noise again #***k.

I am looking at the top o ring and it's only 50% in tact, I believe that for starters I have the wrong o ring will get the proper one ordered tomorrow but I am suspicious as to the alignment of the valve as it seperated when I took it out.

Anyone had the same problem?

Please help before I go mad..

John
