![Question](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I need some opinions on which tire and size would work best for normal street driving. I have 15" Fuchs which I can't afford to replace. ( I like 'em anyway) Here are my choices:
1.Yokohama AVSdb-225/60VR15
2.Yokohama AVS Intermediate-215/60VR15
225/60VR15
235/60VR15
3.Kuhmo Ecsta Supra712- 205/50VR15 (widest 15 available)
4.Sumitomo HTR200-215/60HR15
225/50HR15
The sumitomos are cheap, but the speed rating is low. I like the Kuhmo's and have heard good things about them but the 205 width concerns me. Which Yokohama is the better tire?
I need to make a decision and I don't want to be stuck with something I won't like.
Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I JUST ORDERED YOKO 225/50/15 ON FUCHS 7 AND 8S THEY SHOULD BE HERE THIS WEEK,AND MOUNTED ON SAT!LOOK AT PREV THREADS IN ARCHIVES .I GOT TONS OF GREAT ADVICE.A FREIND GOT THE KUHMOS FOR HIS STANG AND REALLY LIKES THEM.I DECIDEED TO UPGRADE TO THE 225 I AGREED THE 60 LOOK TALL,AND LESS SIDEWALL=BETTER RESPONSE.
THE SPEEDO WILL BE OFF BY 3%IM TOLD BUT THEY WILL FIT

PaulC, what model Yoko's? I did asearch at TireRack and only came up with Avid T4 (Low Speed Rating)Not much available in 225/60VR15. I'm open to suggestions. I'd like to do a 225/50VR15 but I need to stay under $90.00 per tire.I really need to figure this out.

I went with AVS intermediate 225/50/15.They had to be special ordered. They also have 214/60/15 in the same tire ,It was only $77 per tire!($343 for 4 tires shipped to my house)They were to get a shipment on 3/2/02.Call and ask for Dallas thats who I talked to .ext 267

I just looked at tire rack only saw 215/60/15 in the Intermediate, still not a bad choice,I was originally going to go with them and last minute I changed my mind.they are supposed to stick like glue.Trade off is they will wear quicker.
