Although the lighting isn't very good this is a Trans-Am with 8, count them 8 exhaust tips. All of them turn up, and they all come off of one muffler. This thing is absolutely astonishing to see in person as it defies all sense.

Checkout this link:

<a href="http://www.nsxfiles.com/vc2001.htm" target="_blank">http://www.nsxfiles.com/vc2001.htm</a>

That picture was actually taken by the guy that runs that website. The Porsche with the big *** wing, BTW, won the event.

Some Porsches that really need to be liberated from their abusive owners are:
1. Those that never see more than 4,000 rpm
2. 912's with 993TT fiberglass bodywork and the original 912 engine

In my book, wings and other bodywork modifications are cool when they serve a real functional purpose besides "it looks cool".

"Rice" on the other hand is typically something that emulates a racecar characteristic, but actually has no performance advantage, or more often is actually detrimental to performance.

I snapped a picture of this one in the parking garage of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. This car seemed to have an identity crisis. It couldn't figure out whether it was a muscle car, a lowrider, or a rice rocket. I'd say it is just CRAP!

It really is a shame when people try to get original with their cars. I had a friend who tried to start a sign business. This only led to him putting a lot of stickers on his Honda CRX. It got so bad that he started making up manufacturer's names ( I did research on some of his stickers and one of them designed Nintendo games). Eventually he made stickers of different sizes with his name on it and put them all over the car. It was always fun to laugh at him. He sold that car and now he is going to do the same to his Pontiac Fiero GT. It is a good thing he does not want a Porsche.

I was on the way home Saturday and I followed a newer model Eclipse with a wing that was easily a foot and a half higher than the roof. Add 6, count them, 6!! exhaust tips off 1 central muffler, stock 15" rims, and cut springs that lowered the car to almost ground scraping height.

Man, I want a pic of that car.</strong><hr></blockquote>

You think that is bad!!??? look at this civic!

"OK, I can't remember when or where, but I saw a "news" story once on a guy with a CRX. He actually admitted that he purchased two trash cans and fixed them onto his exhaust - he had two huge cans coming out the back of his CRX. You can only imagine how this looked."

No need to imagine! I've got a photo of that CRX on the "Rice Porsche" section of my <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/951_racerX" target="_blank">951 RacerX website</a>. Also one of the 'rocket-launcher' exhaust that Dave was talking about : <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/951_racerx/RicePorsche.html" target="_blank">Rice Porsche</a>

My little sister's friend, who isn't the sharpest crayon in the box, bought a beat to hell mid 80's plymouth sundance automatic n/a for $300. He then tried to spraypaint the car with no prepwork and gave up after he did the roof with much dripping and running because he ran out of paint and was too lazy to get more. What really gets me about this car is he fact that he took all of the rear badging off, where the penta-plymouth thing was before was replaced with an acura symbol, and where sundance used to be was replaced with 2.3CL . In the front, he put a honda badge right over the plymouth star in the grill because he couldn't figure out how to get the star out of the grill. I don't know whether this kid is just being humorous or seriously thinks somebody would mistake a plymouth sundance for a 2.3CL...it just made me laugh my *** off...next time I go home I am getting some pictures.
