see if there is a local automotive forum or something

I'd imagine in a big city like t hat there would be a lot of places that can do powdercoating

also, you can try Google, and even Craiglist, then just search for the companies that you find and see what the feedback is like

yeah but if you are in the rush or something

I think there are about 2 good powdercoaters in my area

and we have a local automotive forum that everyone is on (drag, drift, show, auto-x) everyone is on there, so its easy
