CVs are not too expensive, and they are easy as hell to replace, but make sure you get the correct tool to pull out the CV bolts. It is not a 7mm allen, or a T40 torx head. You will probably strip out the heads if you use these. It is some other, the name of which escapes me, but I believe the size of the tool is 10mm? Anyway it is the tool that has twice the notches as a torx. You can call any Porsche shop and tell them you are looking for the tool to fit the CV bolts, they will know what you need and where you can get one.

I've actually sheared off the CV-joint bolts on the left side at the trailing arm before. The axle still spins in that pocket in the trailing arm, but no go. The problem was I got grease on the mating surfaces between the end of the axle and the trailing arm. Next time I cleaned it off really well with acetone and made sure I put a little blue Locktite on the bolts.
