My S is named Heidi. I thought since its a German car and its also very beautiful, and Heidi Klum is the same, Heidi was a good name for mine.

I refer to my white 86 944 as "the white one" and my red 84 944 as "the red one."

When I become as sick as the rest of you and start nameing them I will post it for all to see.. until then ... I will quietly refer to them as the twins.

Thumbs up

its quite rewarding actually... the 83 is by far the strongest of them all (retains the most horsepower as it only has 26K on it). The 85.5 was the original daily driver, but the 84 has recently taken its place. i've enjoyed caring for all of them. i think if i go turbo, it'll be a 964. i like the 944 n/a... in fact if i was going to have an IDEAL daily driver, it'd be an S2 cab, white/black *drool* but thats gonna have to be later in life. for now i'm going to have to stick with the early 944 n/a... do my own wrenchin and everything should be fine.

you should see the looks a near-new Zermatt Silver 944 n/a gets when you cruise around on the weekends <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Well, first there was this very nice 59k mile 1986 951 called the 'Ace', but sadly, it was wrecked/totaled. So we bought the 'Deuce'. (It was about this time that we named the 'Ace'). We bought back the 'Ace' and kept it for parts. However, a nice donor car came along. Named it 'Trey'. But, it gave up everthing except it's body for the cause. All the very low milage 'Ace' parts went into the 'Trey' body to make the 'Ace II'. Or now just known as the 'Ace'.

Just got back from a romp around town in the reborn Ace. Quite different from my modified car, the Deuce.

Oh, ya, they all were 1986 Red 951 cars.

And now the rest of the story ...

My wife names all our cars:

'87 951 Guards Red = "Spencer" - Dignified and poetic (yeah, right . . . it's nothing but a brute at it's best momments)

'86 951 Guards Red = "Buck" (short for "Buckshot" - what the rear drivers quarter looked like when I bought it from drilling and pulling out the kleenexed panel by the lamo P.O.) Currently my parts car.

'87 924S Guards Red = "Buck Jr." or just "Jr." aspiring to be a turbo. Sold earlier this year to an assistant in Hugh Heffner's P.R. office - I'm not kidding.

Around the house the 951 is affectionatly known as "The Red Car".

I have a '60 european VW beetle (my car for high school, bought 1969) that has 190rwhp and weights 1650 lbs, that has earned the name "Arnold Swartza Beetle".

If anyone knows the fireworks called "flowers" you know my bug.

I was initially hoping for a nice german name for her, unfortunately I couldn't find any that I truly loved so her name is Cassondra. Hopefully she will look great after her beauty rest. (sitting in the garage while I am at school)

Yes, believe it or not trouble was taken!
When friends find me at the local bar "I see we found trouble", "we were out looking for trouble", "guess we found trouble", "let's get into trouble".
I originally intended it as a pun regarding maintenance issues or possible interaction with law enforcement personnel. Fortunately neither has been a problem! (fingers crossed)
