Exclamation Ok quick question.

Today I drove the car for about hour and a half straight for the first time when I got to work( all highway) I heard a rattle I guess that is the best way to describe. When I pushed in the clutch the sound went away, and when I stepped on the gas the sound went away.. I have never heard this sound before. Then I went out about an hour later and started the car again and the sound was gone. The car sat before I bought it for about 2 months if that helps. Any ideas would be great.... <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

is the sound there in neutral only? change your gearbox oil and see if the sound is still there. Sift through the old stuff for shavings.

It could be a very intermitant exhaust shield rattle. I know I have an aftermarket CAT that makes my exhaust shield rattle whenever my car is idleing.
