I know that Ian's Euro Parts parts out 944's. Maybe you can get one from them. I bought some drop links from them and they are awesome.

Seriously though, if it didn't damage the pistons look for a used head. I have seem them on Ebay a few times. I know of someone that has a used set of N/A pistons/rods that he would probably sell if there is piston damage.

Try and do a rebuild it would be so much cheaper.

You could just do the head, and pretty cheaply (for a 944NA) from what I have seen. A decent head and top-end gasket set would be under 1K and probably take a day to put in.

If my new engine ever gets here and it's still warm enough for me not to put my project off until spring, I'll have a good running S2 motor for sale pretty soon. I could probably sell it as a kit with the DME, etc.

    www.partsheaven.com

they are amazingly fast and reliable. they only sell the best... $1300 each, extremely reasonable. they sell one 944 engine per week

yes, Parts Heaven is fast and reliable (as well as extremely knowledgeable, but dude! they are DAMN expensive! For example, John Anderson was selling an NA motor for $900 a while ago.

Anyway, that my opinion. I went down there once and they wanted to sell me a 4 spoke steering wheel for 150.00. Yeah right! The stock "sport" seats in the front of the store were no bargain either (750.00?). Locally, a person can always call EASY (510.653.3279, http://www.easypor.com, 30 minutes north of Parts H.) and see what they say, no guarantees. But why stop there, you've got resources!

Cuddy, if you want to sell your no-good engine to one of us, say the word (and yes you will need a lift)!
