Post water pump

Just had my waterpump changed. I replaced it with a new one, I am fighting a cooling problem. When I got the car back it runs like shi?. The viberation while at idle is terrible everthing in and on the car shakes, mirrors, doors, fenders, no power in fifth, no accleration and a funny exhaust noise above 2k rpm.Was fine up till the pump change except for the cooling problem. Any thoughts
Thanks

Sounds like the balanace shafts or timing are not in time. If your mech did the job, he needs to re-time the balance shafts and check timing. I'm surprised a mech let the car go that way.

I agree with slevy. Since the belts had to come off for the waterpump it is possible that one of the balance shafts is 180 degrees off.

Definitely, have the balance timing checked. Its easy to set the balance shafts off 180 degrees. Even just a tooth off would make the engine shake.
