That side skirt would be really cool if it was just rolled under the car. All it needs is a little bit of a rounded edge that goes under the car instead of just going straight down. Everything else = poop

I like it. Even the hood pins. The only objection I have is the oversize crest decal on the fender.

Awful!

I really looks bad. I don't like it one bit. The hood and headlight buckets are alright since they are Carrera GT material. Those cars rocked.

As for the front bumper and side skirts....
... ditch them.
I don't care if they are part of the Kolken racing catalog. Is this a real race car or just a street car. Seeing that there are no rock chips on it and a license plate my guess is that it just a street car that "might" have seen a drag strip.
Now if a guy wants that bumper on his race car fine. I will still find it ugly unless he can show that it works better than stock or the other racing front bumpers out there.

It is not a one of ways rice came about? Taking a street car and making it LOOK like race car with no intention of ever doing any track time?

So then to me this is pure rice.

(now making a Carrera GT or GTS look alike is not rice, it is homage to the factory's racing efforts) Now a 944 GTP look alike on the street really is rice since they never made a street version.

Just my $0.02

I like it! But then again, I'm a firm beleiver in the "to each his own" philosophy. I would be willing to bet the guy who owns it got quite a bit of weight savings out of all the fiberglass, an increase in downforce in both the front and the rear (looks like an aftermarket spoiler back there), gets a ton more air to his intercooler, and cools off his exhaust manifold with the ducting. Sounds like a lot of actual benefits to me.
I'd like to see a black or graphite metallic one - it would look pure evil!

just noticed the crest decal on the front quarter. Don't like that, and I could do without the PORSCHE banner as well. I still think it's cool, but would be better looking without the decals...I'd probably like the Fiberwerks nose more as well.

Here is picture for the body of one of the fastest 944-turbo race cars in counrty. I don't see any fancy noses or side skirts here.

My opinion was asked and I have given it, but just because I don't like it does NOT mean much cause it is not my car. Shortyboy do what YOU want!

If it serves a purpose, on a track car where it might enhance aerodynamics or whatever, then I'd see a reason to put it on a car.
For driving around, just like that, no way.

A street car with obnoxiously large aftermarket stickers is never a good thing.

My daily driver is a 86 951 sleeper with lots of mods under the hood but very subtle updating on the exterior like a Momo steering wheel and 17 inch rims (couldn't sell my phone dials fast enough-they're light and strong but they're ugly). Other than adding a AIR front splitter, this car will remain stock looking. Great daily driver.

The person who did the white car you describe really knew what they were doing. If I were to do a project car with no holds barred, in your face, "look at me" racy appeal, I would want it to end up looking like that. It would be my toy, not daily driver.

The problem with "rice" type cars is that they don't do the mods cohesively or properly or only go part way. The white car really pulls it off, in my opinion.

No way, that thing looks great. It looks like a straight race car with the stickers pulled off. That's what I thought it was, some famous 924 GTR that won the 1978 Thissenthat endurance race or something.

The side skirts are a little funky, but I'm willing to bet if it was some historic race winner half of you would change your tune.

The font bumper is the GTR Front bumper from Kokeln. It is a GT3 RS front bumper adapted to the 944 Turbo and S2 fender lines.

This is at least the 4th time I have seen someone start a thread about some or all of these parts. Invariably the ignorant "purists" scoff at the front end saying it is too rice, not realizing it is pure Porsche styling right off the GT3R.

And Michael hit the nail right on the head about the hood scoop. The headlights are also the same genre, though off the 924 GTS and GTR.
