Yeah, I know there is a huge difference between the engines. Got a book off Amazon that touches the basics on restoring or building a car. Quite a good resource. It's called "The Car Builder's Handbook," if you want to check it out.

Oh, a question for you people. Do you think it would be better to get a 924 or a 944 to work on?

I have a car I'm working on. I might let it go for a good price. Wheels are $1,000 or you get the 16" BBS RS wheels that came with it.

It runs but has some body damage.

I would say that a 924 would be a better choice because it would be cheaper to buy most likely and if you need parts you should be able to find them for cheap prices, it would be pretty easy to find a running 924 for cheap.

Yeah, I was leaning more toward the 924, due to lower prices and less complexity (I think?). I just wanted to get some veteran opinions.
