Heat prob fixed. Thanks Rennlist/Clarks garage
Thanks to Rennlist and Clarks garage, I was able to quickly identify and locate under the dash, that one of my linkages had come off, causing the dreaded "full time heat on". Nice and cool air can now be selected.
Now if I can troubleshoot my headlight motor. Motor worked fine for a while, then would not put the lights down ..right away... Cleaned the relay, and now they go down just fine...IF.. I put them up by hand. Yeeesh.
Onward and upward.
Scott.

There are two relays for the headlights, IIRC -- one in the main fuse/relay box, and one on the headlight motor itself. I had some intermittent problems with the lights cycling up and down a few times before finally closing properly -- turned out replacing the relay on the motor fixed this. I had tried cleaning, with partial success, but the problem always returned. I used an inexpensive generic replacement automotive relay rather than an expensive OE or OEM part for replacement, IIRC. A few years ago now, so a bit fuzzy on a few details, but obviously the fix has held up well.
