Default Cleaning leather seats on S2 Cab

Newbie. My question is what sort of leather is this and secondly how best to clean and protect it from sun. Had a look at leather cleaning threads but didn't see anything on leather type, which seems to be important.

Ours is a painted leather - one of the best products is Leather Master cleaner and conditioner. Contact Phil at www.detailersdomain.com (he's a sponsor) and he'll set you up! For the dash/doorpanels, 303 aerospace protectant is great, and so is the optimum leather and vinyl protector.

I do detailing, and my winning combo for leather and plastic/vinyl interior cleaning is one part Woolite, six parts distilled water in a spray bottle. Once clean, I follow that with a saddle soap which also cleans, but will restore oils and softens the leather. I've been doing the Woolite thing for about ten years now and it has recently been recommended by Lexus as the method for cleaning their leather. Go figure!

Good info. I have some 944 seats that feel very dry and I'd like to restore some "give" to them to avoid cracking. Do I just slather them in saddle soap and let them sit for a while? Would it be better to remove the covers and do the leather from the backside? Degree of difficulty?
