Get a 3 oz. can of #1605 Testors Spray Enamel - Transparent Candy Apple Red paint. Just apply a few, very thin coats. I only prepped with alcohol as I preferred to not "rough up" the lens as others have suggested. It seems to have worked fine. We'll see how well it holds up.

Carl is right on the paint. Any hobby shop should have it. I would use 3 or 4 light coats.

Is there a problem with painting the lenses from the INSIDE, other than removing the lens housing assembly, so you don't do any surface damage?

It would be a real challenge to paint from the inside since the lens is welded (probably a sonic weld) together and the only access are holes for the bulbs. And the inside of the lens has all the frenzeling so would be a real nightmare to lay a smooth coat down especially through the small lightbulb hole. If you screwed up, probably 100% odds, you would have to saw the lens apart to try and clean and start over.

Swede,
are you located in Sweden ?
If so, you should go with Dupli Color transparent red.Testors paints are not available in Europe.
Dupli Color spray cans can be found from most auto paint stores.

You'll end up with an orange lense with red paint inside it. Certainly wouldn't give you the result you want.

Ok, one question, is there a way to get the paint off without destroying the lenses. I want to do this, but I also want a way out of I don't like the look.

I dont know of anything that wouldnt fog up the plastic. You should be able to pick them up at a reasonable price. I nearly rebuilt my first 944 from wrecked cars for nearly nothing.

i really dont have anything against it. im really just sick of all the rice out there and every civic pullin up to the line and tryin to race me with thier pop pop exhausts. i just have always loved european cars. i mean japanese cars i think really lack the class and style that german cars. another thing that pisses me off is that accord commercial where they speak german. o god that pissed me off soooo much. asain cars are wannabes and will always be that way. you all kno it

hrmm...last time I checked, Skylines/NSX's are NOTHING compared to Civics. Don't think all asian cars are alike, tell me next time you pull up to a Skyline (if you ever see one) and smack him, I'll give you $5. Straights or turns.
Yes I believe "ricey" Civics are crap *** wannabes...but Skylines and NSX's? I don't know what you are thinking.
