OT, kinda, OBD-II Diag. software??? and a cool find
I was at www.alldata.com and saw a 944 pic on the home page, taillight only. Nifty find! Actually, I was looking for software for a PC and possibly patch cords to hook-up and pull OBD-II codes. Also diagnose and read sensors. I'm looking for something like a SnapOn scanner but software only for a PC. We have an extra computer my dad built and is not using. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

nine-44,
Baum tools www.baumtools.com sells OBDII software that you can load onto your palm pilot.
I bought OttoScan for my palm Vx. The software also comes with the data link cable. With OttoScan you can pull fault codes, look at live data, snap shot, etc. It works great.
The main difference between OttoScan and a Snap On scanner is the Snap On scanner has trouble shooting screens, but if you know how to trouble shoot who needs it.....and the scanner is a couple of thousand dollars more than the OttoScan.
