Windshield replacement? Can I use 944 glass in a 968? Need your help!

Is the antenna located on the passenger side?
Thanks Ethan, if you remember Friday...sure!
I wonder what the 43xxxxx number signifies?
I think the "AS1" designation means tinted.
Mine has a green/blue stripe on the top, I wonder if this is "tint band" if so what does "tinted" mean?

It is all starting to make sense now....

I think the only difference between the 944 & 968 windshields would be the antenna. Since the early 944's had a fender-mounted antenna I imagine the part #'s would be the same for the early 944's & the 968's.
And the "tint band" is only tinted at the top, while the "tinted" is all tinted (and maybe a little darker at the top).
I had mine replaced a year ago when I got my car, but it's not a porsche part # (#019656 @ SafeLite Autoglass if you care <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ). I can't get to the car right now to double check but I imagine it's a Porsche part anyways since the quality & fit is superb and I even think it has the same stamp on it as the rest of the windows.

The air bag actually hits the windshield first before inflating towards the passenger. A missinstalled windshield will pop out or not pop out and cause a failure in the air bags ability to be efficient. Not sure which way it is. But it is important to the function.
