Hi all,
I have monitored this site for a long time but never really needed any help that has not already been discussed. Today, I have a new problem and have seen no similar post.
My drivers side cooling fan will not turn on. I have tried two different fans. They work fine when pluged into the passenger side connection, but the drivers side is dead. Safe to say the fans are good. Where is the problem? wiring..where do I start. Relay...are there different relays for the two seperate fans? Of course, I have wiggled the wires and connections..no luck.
Please help.

I don't know if you have tried this, but I had the same problem on my 944:
Check the fuse box for cooling fan (can't remember if it is #1 or #2).
Good Luck!

Check fuse 15 and 10, both are 25A. There is one coolent fan relay, it is G10.

I have had a similar experience and as a result this repair was one of the few that I've done myself rather than taking to a mechanic.
I found (my experience through trial and error... I'm not a mechanic) that when the fans don't turn off, it's usually a realy (ie. G10 fan relay in the fuse panel under the hood or the fan thermal switch that screws into the radiator on the top left corner underneath the top radiator hose). When the fans didn't come on, it was a blown fuse (10,15,25 amp... I don't remember what the amp was, but it's the regular small plastic ones).
If these are working and not blown, it would almost sound like a wiring problem. As far as wiring goes, I'm quite ingnorant about that. There are guys here that know that factory wiring harness in their sleep, so I'll let them take over...
