Talk about BiPolar I think Craig has more names and according to the range of his posts more personalities than Sybil.

No let me get this straigt, Craig wants to know how a stock 951 compares to a stock 300 so then he can figure out how much faster his worked 951 is than a stock 951 which is faster than a stock 300 which is slower than a worked 300 which handles better than a stock 951 which is faster than a stock 944 which is slower than a stock 951 which if the pythagorean theory is applied to the torque curve of the....

Well, for me, my first true sport car was a 1993 300Z Twin Turbo. Awesome car. It remained stock until the day my wife asked me to get rid of it. You see, with the wife in the car, in a U turn, I floored the car and made a 360 degrees burn out. That was the end of it… Top speed (reached several times first hand) was 159-162MPH (depending on the wind direction). I did not have the opportunity to test it back to back with a 951, but it was a great car. You can tell there is still some nostalgia here…

It terms of how it compared to other cars… well, a Camaro Z28 was par with the car. Any minor mods to the Camaro (exhaust) made the 300Z-TT stay behind (yes, I did race the thing in the public roads at night with a few friends). Both cars stock, they were equal. The 300 was, by far, more stable at high speeds than the Camaro.

I wish I had both cars (951 and 300 Z TT) to test them back to back.

Ribs, thanks for the comparison articles!! I am trying to find a Road and Track that had a similar test. It was betwen a 951(or a 968 not sure..), 300ZTT, RX7TT, and a Supra TT. I think the Supra came out as a winner on that article...

Let me get my $.02 in. My brother daily drives a 300z and loves it. When I first let him drive my 944 his only complaint was how rough the ride was (Reads: My Z is a soft cushy ride with all kinds of gizzmos, like a TownCar.) Never the less he wants to know when I am going to go racing, so he can compete too.

It was a blue cs 968. I have that one. it had about 50 horse less than all the other cars in the comparison.

Jamie...here is a link to that article (I don't think it is working anymore, but if it is just temporarily down, you will be able to try it later): http://www.nutsandvolts.com/rx7/articles/93_cd_comparo/article_p1.asp . I have driven a couple 300Z twin turbos and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. It seems just like almost every other japanese "supercar"...it is cold and calculating with no soul and poor driver feedback. The only japanese sports car I have ever driven that I actually prefered to my 951 was a 3rd gen rx-7...those are awesome cars. 2nd gen rx-7's are great too...just not as great as the 3rd gens. I have never had a chance to ***** out an nsx, so I couldn't compare, but the rest of them I have had a chance to dog out and get them on some turns.

I don't know who it was that posted the the little animation of a face on a computer and said it was me, but omg you're wrong. I usually am not on the computer very much, from ~6:00-6:30 when food is being prepared, then I go out. Or I get on ~12:00 P.M. for 1.5 hours or so. The only other times I'm on alot, is when there is trouble with one of the vehicles. So go on w/ that. I homeschool now, so I do hop on and off and on and off SOMETIMES before I go to work at 2:00 and get back at 6:00... Peace

Those who have others do their research are either extremely lazy or are extremely important.

Which is it?

One learns facts from others, but skills are learned by hands on methods.

Cheers!!

Bob S. I find myself extremely insulted by your comments. You DO NOT know me, along with everyone else on this board. I've done more self-research into countless topics than some can imagine. I am not just posting to find the one answer, I post to read what everyone has to say. I can research my whole life and NEVER get the testimonials from say, Andy Serrato, IanM, perry951, Matt Olde, and all the other users just to name a few that came up in my head. Personal testimonials are some of the greatest information available when it comes to cars I think. Cars ALWAYS look different on paper than they do in real life experiences. To name a few topics that I've researched PERSONALY: Visual C++, Visual Basic, ~3 different areas of self-hypnosis and a little bit of child psychology, Extensive research into the health effects of marijuana use, all possible texts available for hacking of all sorts, unix, linux, win9x, everything. Since I was 13 it seems I've been on an endless quest for knowledge unobtainble through the education system in the U.S. I'm in my bathing suit about to get in the hottub to fish out beer bottle wrappers people left over here fri/sat/sun so I'm in a hurry and am not trying to be very verbos here. I just figure that all the things the schools were supposed to teach us to be 'more well rounded' is simply useless as far as the real world, and I, with the things I know today, will stand over and peer at my inferiors without the feeling of superiority or anything of that sort. I will just be me, which is more than 90% of the people I know can say for themselves.

I duno if that was directed at me or not, but I know it might seem I do nothing for myself, but just figure I've got 7 major interests in my life, and this one doesn't fit high enough on my importance meter for me to spend a majority of my time in research. If I plaque you with my questions then don't ****ing answer them.
