The same tool was used also with late '80's / early '90's BMW M40 series 8V engines (not sold in the USA)

So if it does the same job... the question is price and availability...

Just as expensive as the P9201.According to a Volvo web site available direct to Volvo mechanics through SPF/KENT-MOORE for $500 might be cheaper on ebay if they have one in the Volvo listings rather than Porsche.

in looking for a price I stumbled across a few volvers that use the p9201 instead of theirs because its easier to find.....

Ive wondered about the efficacy of zdmak's $50...
http://www.zdmak.com/wbstore/main.as...&PROD=MK-142BG
next time my belts due I might just buy one to see how it compares....

Ive been trying to decide if I want to buy the original...the arnworx or....
http://www.thetoolnetwork.com/leiten...ion_gauge.html

but Ive got fresh belts in...so its going to be awhile before I bother....

The ZDmak tool can be bought at Harbor Freight tools for $39 I think and it goes on sale.
The design of the tool makes it useless on the cam belt due to the size.
